Q&A: What is a healthy fruit smoothie recipe?

What is a healthy fruit smoothie recipe?
I tried making one with plain, non-fat yogurt and it was disgusting. I’ve seen other recipes that only use milk, no yogurt. Do they work? Not that I wouldn’t use a recipe that includes yogurt, because I will… as long as it tastes good :-) sooo… any good, healthy (low in calories/fat) fruit smoothie recipes out there??? Thanks!

Take a frozen banana, frozen strawberries and add some no-fat milk and ice, blend.

I’ve made one with plain kefir (liquid yogurt), orange juice, spinach (don’t worry, you don’t taste it) and frozen blueberries. It was incredibly tasty.

Milk works wonderfully! Mix any fruits you like with milk. I personally prefer the taste of smoothies made with full fat milk, they’re thicker, but non-fat also tastes very good!
I also like to add a few drops of rosewater or orange blossom water =)

When I make mine I use apple juice….fresh bananas….and frozen fruit……….Never milk or yogurt…

But here are a couple recipes you might like…

1 banana
1 cup of whole milk
1 cup yogurt (preferably strawberry banana yogurt)
4 large strawberries or 1/2 cups frozen
Blend the banana and strawberries with the milk and yogurt until a smooth creamy texture is formed

1 1/2 cups frozen peaches
1/2 cup of peach yogurt
1/2 cup of whole milk
6 ice cubes
Blend the peaches with the ice cubes and milk first until slushy texture is formed. Then add the yogurt and blend for another minute on low setting. You may substitute fresh peaches or canned peaches with the syrup in this smoothie recipe…..

Hope this helps………….
